Who provides QScan

QScan is provided by Qubba HQ Ltd, a company registered in Cyprus with registration number HE 499298, Zinonos Sozou 11, 3rd floor, Office 303, 1075 Nicosia, Cyprus ("Qubba", "we"). These terms are an agreement between you and Qubba HQ Ltd.

Who can use QScan

You must be 16 or older to use QScan. By using it, you confirm that you are.

What QScan provides

QScan provides educational information about food products. Scores are QScan's assessment of available ingredient and nutrition data. Product databases, label photos, and manufacturer information can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong, and products can be reformulated.

Not medical advice

Scores, ingredient explanations, allergen flags, and Ask Quix answers are not medical, nutritional, or allergy advice. QScan can miss an allergen or flag one that is not there, and Ask Quix answers are generated by AI and can be wrong. Always check the physical label, especially for allergens, and ask a qualified professional about health decisions.

Subscriptions

QScan Premium is offered as App Store subscriptions, shown through Superwall: a weekly plan, a yearly plan, and a yearly Family plan. The weekly plan starts with a first week at an introductory price for eligible customers, then renews every week at the weekly price. The yearly and Family plans renew every year. Prices are shown in the app before purchase and charged by Apple, and the Apple purchase sheet is the source of truth for price, introductory offer, and eligibility. Without a subscription, QScan works with free daily limits.

The Family plan covers the subscriber and up to four people they invite, each on their own QScan account. Invited people have Premium only while the subscriber's Family plan is active. The subscriber can remove an invited person, and an invited person can leave. The Family plan is not Apple Family Sharing, and it is separate from the member profiles you can add inside one account.

A subscription automatically renews under the terms Apple shows at purchase until it is cancelled in Apple Account subscription settings. Cancelling prevents a future renewal and access continues for the period Apple confirms. Deleting your QScan account does not cancel the subscription. Payment, renewal, refunds, and cancellation are administered by Apple.

Refunds

Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases under its own policies; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Where the law of your country gives you a right to cancel a purchase, such as the 14 day right of withdrawal in the EU, you use it through Apple in the same place.

Accounts

QScan starts with an anonymous account. You are responsible for activity on the device and any credentials later attached to that account. You can remove the account with Delete account in Profile.

Acceptable use

Do not interfere with the service, bypass usage limits, upload material you do not have permission to use, scrape or bulk export the catalogue, resell QScan scores, or present QScan's assessments as claims made by a manufacturer or regulator.

Groups, messages, and community rules

QScan has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. In private groups and messages, do not post or send harassment, threats, hate, sexual content, spam, or anything illegal or unsafe.

You can report any message, shared scan, or comment from someone else, and block anyone in a conversation. Reported content is hidden from you at once. QScan reviews every report within 24 hours, removes content that breaks these rules, and can suspend the account that posted it, which stops it sending messages or posting in groups.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, Qubba is not liable for decisions made only from a QScan score, automated label reading, product record, or generated answer. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

Accessibility

How QScan meets accessibility requirements, what does not work yet, and how to report a barrier or ask for this information in another format are set out in the accessibility statement, which you can open from the footer of the QScan website and from Profile in the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction over disputes about them. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
